Proverbs 8:17

The book of Proverbs gives us insights into so many different areas of life. The book gives us instruction on how to live our lives for God. Here is a proverb that gives us insight about chasing wisdom:

Proverbs 8:17 (ESV)

I love those who love me,

and those who seek me diligently find me.

If you have ever sought something valuable this proverb should resonate with you.   Many men and women everyday pursue things that can't be caught.   Like trying to chase a cheetah, they only see it speed in front of them and have no actual energy, skill or speed  to compete and catch it.   They chase peace and actually only find strife.  They chase riches only to worry each day if they will lose them.   They chase power only to abuse it once they seemingly have it.   In this proverb we read that when we pursue wisdom, she loves it.  When we chase understanding we have no issue in finding it.  It will make itself known to us.   God is not trying to hide from us.  He tells us that no one comes to the Christ unless he is first drawn by the Father.  God is even the activator in the pursuit.  He gives us the ability to pursue something (Someone) He allows us to catch.   Wisdom loves us ... Wisdom is the thing worthy to pursue and chase as it returns our pursuit with Love.   When God gives us His righteousness that gives us the ability to pursue wisdom.   That pursuit will never come up void.  God wants us to catch wisdom.  He wants us to find her.   You never have to fear that you might spend your life in pursuit of her and not be able to find her.   She is there if you want her.  Wisdom is the one holding the sign that says, "I love you."
