Proverbs 8:7

 The book of Proverbs gives us a lot of instruction on a lot of different subjects. One subject that can keep us in God’s wisdom is Godly Follower-ship. Who we follow; where we follow; how we follow are all spoken about in Proverbs. Here is one of them about wisdom and truth:

Proverbs 8:7

For my mouth will utter truth;

And wickedness is an abomination to my lips.

God provides wisdom to us and that wisdom is "truth."  God's wisdom is so far away from non-truth that Solomon tells us it is an "abomination to my lips."   God will not lead us into sin.   God will not advise us to follow after sin.  God will not "stretch" the truth or "massage" the truth or "taint" the truth.   When you stretch it, massage it or taint it there is no longer truth.   Christ said He was the truth.   There can't be any "parts" of truth.   We do well to place ourselves in situation where others want to seek truth ... not their version of the truth.   We ought to put us under teachers who want us to pursue truth.   We ought to mingle with others who want to practice truth.   When we find someone who wants to "bend" the truth we ought to run; that is not Wisdom speaking.   Wisdom only seeks to say truth and communicate truth to us.
