Proverbs 8:6
Listen, for I will speak noble things; And the opening of my lips will reveal right things.
Imagine watching TV and never having to worry if what your watching was false, flacious or fiction! Imgaine picking a magizine off the shelf at the book store and knowing, without a doubt, that every article and advertisement contained perfect writings both in content and philosophy! What would it be like if you listened to the "talking heads" on the TV/internet/radio and you KNEW they were telling you the truth? If all that were true we would be in a unique and wonderful place. The problem of course is, that none of that is true and in fact, far from truth. Ads, shows, articles, books, and speeches are all full of lies, fallacy, and deception. Yet, Solomon writes to us to "listen to Wisdom" for it speaks "noble" things and will "reveal right things." You can't trust your best friend to always tell the truth but the Wisdom in God's Word is nothing but ture. What a refreshing and rejoicing truth. I can read any of a billion web sites and hope for truth, or I can read any one verse of Scripture and know it will not only say truth it will lead me into truth. Let's rejoice in the truth Wisdom provides. Some fight it and some ignore it. Choose to embrace it and be relieved it is there. You don't have to spend any time hoping it is true ... it just is.
